What is the Coffee Cup Revolution?

Introducing the option to borrow a coffee cup

The number of coffee drinkers who bring their own cup when they order take-away coffee is really low! Our research shows that some café customers don’t want to carry a cup around, especially once they’ve used it, and even the most conscientious consumers sometimes simply forget them. By introducing the option to borrow a cup, we’re offering all customers the chance to choose a more sustainable cup for their coffee without having to take it home with them afterwards.

Why did we choose Billie Cup?

The Billie Cup system has been running successfully in Belgium and the Netherlands for some time, we’re very happy it has now been launched in France too!

Billie Cups are made in France from 100% recyclable polypropylene; compared to other materials, polypropylene performs best when it comes to energy consumption in the manufacturing process and recyclability. They can handle all types of dishwashers and are taste neutral.

The cups can be used up to 1000 times! At the end of their long life the cafés return the cups to Billie Cup to be recycled.

Supporting you along the way

We would like to see the end of single use cups, and in order to encourage businesses and consumers to change their habits we’re here to answer your questions and provide support.

We’re promoting all the participating cafés on social media. Look out for our posters and flyers too!
